Regina Cæli Lætare

From Easter Sunday, until Holy Trinity Sunday, instead of the Angelus, Catholics are required to recite The Regina Cæli Lætare, prayer, three times a day: 6:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., & 6:00 p.m.

    Regina Cæli, lætare ! Alleluia.

Quia quem meruisti portare : Alleluia.

    Resurrexit sicut dixit : Alleluia.

Ora pro nobis Deum : Alleluia.

    V. Gaude et laetare, Virgo Maria : Alleluia.

    R. Quia surrexit Dominus vere : Alleluia.

Amen.

Triumph, O Queen of Heaven, to see, Alleluia,

The sacred Infant born to thee, Alleluia:

Spring up in glory from the tomb, Alleluia:

O by thy prayers prevent our doom, Alleluia.

    V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary! Alleluia

    R. Because our Lord is truly risen, Alleluia.

    Let us pray.
O God, who, by the resurrection of thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ, has vouchsafed to gladden the world, grant, we beseech thee, that, by the intercession of the Virgin Mary, his Mother, we may receive the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
